Emission Management
Reduce Carbon
Starting from October 2022, LOUIS THAI International announced a target to reduce carbon emissions from ritual burning items — including incense sticks, candles, and related products — by up to 80%.
To achieve this, we began introducing low-carbon, shorter incense sticks and other alternatives that produce less smoke. The purpose is to protect our planet from global warming and, at the same time, protect our customers and staff from the health risks linked to heavy smoke exposure, such as lung issues, headaches, drowsiness, and long-term tiredness.
Research shows that excessive carbon emissions contribute to greenhouse effects in the atmosphere and oceans, leading to rising temperatures, melting ice, sea-level rise, marine heatwaves, and ocean acidification. Through this program, LOUIS THAI aims to reduce our contribution to these risks while keeping our spiritual practices safe and meaningful.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Awareness of the Importance of Education and Culture
Bacok, 25 October 2022 — LOUIS THAI International Group Sdn Bhd, led by Director Mr. Wong Shee Yee (knowns as "Louis"), organised a CSR activity together with LOUIS THAI customers under the theme “Offering robes to the Sangha”.
The aim of this CSR program is to provide robes for people who would like to learn Buddhism and temple culture but have limited financial resources. By reducing the cost of basic necessities such as monk robes, we help participants focus on learning, spiritual practice, and cultural appreciation.
The activity was held at a Thai temple, Wat Pathumvitharn, Bacok, and created a bridge between LOUIS THAI customers and the local Buddhist community.
Human and Animal Life Well-being
During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, LOUIS THAI observed that many people around us did not have access to clean food and water. In response, we carried out small but meaningful initiatives to provide meals and drinking water to people in need, including those living on the streets.
These actions reflect our belief that human and animal life should be treated with dignity. Even simple support — a proper meal, clean water, basic care — can reduce suffering and create hope during a crisis.
Save Human Life — Blood Donation Campaign
In 2023, LOUIS THAI International received CSR recognition for its blood donation campaign. The initiative positions blood donation as part of our long-term corporate mission to support life-saving healthcare.
Mr. Louis believes that the purpose of the company is not only to generate revenue. CSR is linked with the responsibilities of company leaders to care for human needs within and beyond the industry.
For LOUIS THAI, the value of love and social contribution should be measured beyond profit. Our blood donation campaign reflects this belief and encourages staff, customers, and partners to take part in saving lives.
